콩라인

「명사」 1등을 단 한번도 하지 못하고 2등만 줄기차게 한 사람 또는 그 사람이 포함된 라인을 이르는 말. 콩이라는 별명을 가진 스타크래프트 프로게이머 홍진호 선수가 스타리그 공식 대회에서 준우승만 수차례나 해왔고, 그 후에도 준우승을 계속하는 선수들이 나타나면서 그 선수의 별명인 콩을 따 콩라인이라는 계보가 생겨났다는 데서 유래하였다.

"The Bean Line" — describes someone (or a whole lineage of people) who's always the runner-up, never the champion. Named after StarCraft pro gamer Hong Jin-ho, nicknamed "Bean," who placed second in official tournaments an unusually large number of times; later players who kept finishing second were lumped into the same "line."
