먹튀

"Eat and run" — taking something (money, an item, credit) and vanishing without honoring the deal; commonly used for scams or stealing another player's in-game item.

It refers to a situation where an individual or group fails to achieve satisfactory results by merely pursuing profit. Originally, the term arose when athletes received large signing bonuses or salaries but disappointed fans and club officials by failing to perform to the level expected or deliver results commensurate with their treatment; however, its meaning has since expanded.
